I wonder if these are the same bicycle suspects that we reported in August?
On August 17 at 11:48 am we were turning onto Burton Road and noticed two fellas on bicycles turning onto Butterworth Way. It was a very hot day, about 27 degrees, and they looked very over dressed and not out for a recreational bike ride. So we decided to turn around and follow them.
They went to a home on Butterworth Wynd. One fella stayed under the garage overhang and the other pressed the doorbell and quickly retreated to under the overhang, likely to stay out of a potential doorbell camera view.
We watched them from a few doors down. When no one answered the doorbell, they did not leave. It was then that we believed they were about to break into the home. So we pulled right up and made eye contact and did not leave. They then got back on their bikes and left. We followed them for about 5 more minutes as they made their way very slowly down Burton Road.
I called the EPS non-emergency line and after 25 minutes on hold the officer said that “if they had cars in the area, they would keep an eye out.” I asked if she wanted me to forward the photos I took and she said no.
I am forwarding them as an attachment to this email so that we can all keep our eyes out for them.
